Pricing and DealersDiscussions that are specific to vehicle pricing, preferred dealer pricing, current incentives, rebates, and experiences.
This is a discussion thread titled "Rebates are on the rise", within the Pricing and Dealers forum, part of the Marketplace Forums category.
No change in the northwest through June as per Toyota web sight. Thought it might change after the 2nd of June since I am looking to buy. But, all the dealers do is lower your trade value so the bottom line stays the same. I have looked at the zero interest, but can get 4.25% interest for six years, so the payment is actually lower with the rebate.
Yea, I ordered my truck with the $3000.00 off quoted to me. When I went to pick up the truck, they did the "by the way, you get $4000.00 off now" thing for me. I already knew it went up and I was ready to argue but they just handed it to me.
i think gas prices are going to have to go back down before people start buying pickups again. i know if i was married had kids, and had to support them i wouldnt be driving a vehicle that got 13-14mpg lol. but dont worry..... before long the economy will go to **** and hopefully recover to how it was about 10 years ago.

I think incentives will only get better with time. The market for SUV's and trucks is begining to hemorrhage, dealers are looking for new ways to reduce their inventory. Those of you who are worried about resale in 3-5 years may want to check into the lease terms as at least there is a quaranteed buyback amount. Right now at least there seems to be a lot of resale value being lost the higher gas prices go.
Actually here in the Northeast they went down by $500. I almost waited because I figured they would be better this month. It went from $3500 to $3000. Glad I bought last month.

If you are trading an 07 tundra in on a 08 tundra the amount of the rebate means ****. When the rebates are higher it makes the used truck worth that much less.
