Default How long will rebates hold out?

Guys........

Does anyone have any feelings how long the rebates will hold out on the Tundra (specifically, an 08 DC 4WD 5.7)....???

I can't see gas prices dropping significantly anytime soon, so I'm thinking Toyota will probably "stay the course" for awhile, at least. Anybody think rebates on '08s will get any better late summer/early Fall as new 09 inventory starts to arrive????

Just trying to gauge whether I should ride my current lease out until next summer (06 DC SR5), or turn it in at some point prior and try to take advantage of the rebates before they're gone. (typically, it seems that there are screaming deals to be had right before year-end, when the "leftover" models are gathering dust on the lots)........

Just drives me crazy that my local dealership has 48 Tundras sitting on the lot, all of them ~~ $8,000 off sticker, and I still owe $5500 on my lease

If nothing else, I think that even NEXT summer the market for full-size trucks will still be pretty soft.

Ben

The 2009's are ready to go to production. Meaning, whatever's left in 2008 is what you have to choose from in Tundra! That's trucks in transit, trucks on ground, and trucks that are at railyards waiting to be taken to dealerships... no more building 2008's - they are done. FYI! With 2009's coming, I would imagine, 2008's are gonna take care of themselves, because 2009 production is cut in a HUGE way!!
