I had some hail damage about a month ago. Before it happened I had no intent on trading my RCSB SAP with 5.7, TRD exhaust 4wd etc etc.
I'm not much for body work, so I thought I would trade. I have less than 2 years left on the loan so I do have fairly good equity.
I called my salesman and brought him up to speed. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED HIM if I was going to take it in the ars or if they were going to work with me. He assured me that they would treat me right (repeat customer)
Anyway, today I called him and ask him if today would be a good day and he said to "come on out". I drove 35 miles one way(70 round trip) and sat and waited for them to look at my truck. I didn't bother driving anything...all they had were DC's and CM's. That would have worked...they had over 100 of them!
To make a long story short...$12K.

I'm a big boy. I know what is going on in the world. But, to get me to come in and waste my time and my "precious $4/gallon gas" and then offer me a slap in the face...F**k 'em. I'll never deal with them again. If they didn't want my trade they should have been up front and let me know. I know that it is a tough truck market, and that is fine, but to waste my time. What really pissed me off is that they didn't even want to look at it "unless I was ready to sign the deal today". I told them "nobody holds me feet to the fire". A**holes. Never again.
Thanks letting me rant. Stay away from Maplewood Toyota in Maplewood, MN.
I love my truck and would rather beat it with a 8 pound maul than give it to them for 12k.
