Price drop in Canada on Prius

I visited Canyon Creek Toyota today in Calgary. Online pricing for the 2008 Prius is still listed at $29,500CAD for the base model. Actual pricing at the dealership is now $27,600CAD for the base model. The price has dropped $1,900CAD.

And considering the $2,000CAD rebate from the Federal Gov't on a Prius bought in Canada, this amounts to $3,900CAD off the base price now. Word of Warning tho...the rebate is being discontinued as of December 31st, 2008. You have till March 29th, 2009 to file the paperwork if you buy before December 31st.

Pricing in the US is still alot lower...but with all the warrenty void issues and dealers refusing to sell to Canadians....I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy Canadian.
