I'm looking at a Crewmax SR5 that stickers for $34k

That seems pretty darn good to me. I ended up getting about $3000 off sticker and 0% for 60 months from SETF. I shopped around and had been to 5 dealers before I bought mine back in October of 07. Beware though....at that discount they will probably try to kill you in "dealer fees" and crappy trade-in value if you have a trade-in. My deal really came down to getting a reasonable trade-in value for my 2006 MazdaSpeed6 GT.

Re: Do you think $10,300 off MSRP the best I can do?
I've had my eye on a Limited Crewmax for the past month or so and the hangup for me has been the trade-in value on my 2001 Supercrew with 25,600 miles on it. The current incentives here in the Bay Area will certainly help.
Re: Do you think $10,300 off MSRP the best I can do?
Depending on region, there are massive incentives right now. Until July 7th, you have $1500 "bonus cash" and after the 7th, this drops to $1000. In addition to that, there is the regular $3000 cash back or 0% for 5 years. If you title the truck in the name of a business, you get an extra $1500. That's a total of $6000 in rebates.
Now you have the issue of the dealer discount. If you choose an in-stock unit and the dealer doesn't have to place an order, you can get them below invoice pretty quickly. That means $3000 or more depending on the trim level (higher price means higher mark-up and therefore, more room to discount).

Can you tell me which dealers made this offer? I'm close enough to L.A. that it would be worthwhile to make the trip there. Also, I know that the Sunday paper probably has a lot of car ads. Are any other days of the week good for car dealer ads? Thanks

The $10k off ads were for all the Power Automotive dealerships (Irvine, Cerritos, Buena Park). If you go to powerdirect.com, you can check out all their inventories. I bought an '05 Tundra from Power in Buena Park and dealt with a girl in the Interent Dept. who was pretty good.
Saturday LA Times has the most car ads, but you can p/u a Saturday OC Register, too.
Re: Do you think $10,300 off MSRP the best I can do?
What is hard to believe is that it is even a question. I never thought I would see anything like this working for Toyota. $5 a gallon will do it to you I guess. It is great for those looking to buy, sucks for those that bought when it came out because trade in value has dropped way down
sorta like the housing market
Happy shopping

Have you seen any current ads? I am in the market for an 08 Tundra. There are some good deals up here in Ventura County, but am hoping they will get even better as the 09's get closer. Joe
