Change To "Toyota Factory" Ext. Warranty ??

I have owned many Toyotas and recently traded a 2007 Tundra on a 2009 Tacoma.

I had a 6/100K Toyota Factory Platinum Warranty (TMC in CA gave it to me free when my tranny went out at 500 miles).

During my recent trade at World Toyota dealership, I wanted a Factory Toyota Platinum Warranty and they sold me a SET - Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. 7/100K extended warranty (aka Jim Moran Ins.) was better. There are some issues listed with this SET
insurance and a bunch of unhappy people on consumeraffairs.com

Their starting price was a zillion dollars but, they settled on $924.00.

When I questioned the business manager, he said this SET ins. was a better warranty and World Toyota did NOT offer the Original Toyota Factory Platinum Warranty. .... Huh .. I thought ???

Does anyone have any info on this and any super prices on a TMC Platinum Warranty.

Thanks and my purchase was on March 03, 2009 and I am feeling very uncomfortable.

I talked to Toyota Corp. this AM and was told that I would probably have to contact a Toyota Dealer outside of SET & GST southern selling areas to get a Toyota Corp. extended warranty .... because those 2 regions push their own extended warranties.

I am planning to cancel my SET Extended Warranty and buy a Toyota Corp. "Toyota Extra Care" Extended Care Warranty.

Any dealers out there with a good price on a Toyota Corp. 7yr/100k, $0 ded, Platinum Toyota Extra Care Warranty"

You can get a 7/100 Toyota Platinum plan 0 deductible for 955.

i have a question, if you live in an area that does not offer toyota's extended warranty (and instead push their own thing), will the toyota dealers in that area still honor the toyota extended warranty?
