Default Lease end questions.

My '06 Tundra DC is my first lease. Come 9/09 I need to return my $199.99 a month truck. I still have over 10,000 mi I can put on before turning it over, so I want to take the oppertunity and drive cross country one way. My question is: Will I have a hard time getting a dealer to except my lease return in the Las Vegas area when I originaly leased it out of Portland ME.

What do you think?
Any problems in general when returning a lease?
thanks for your help!

I think you can return the vehicle to any toyota dealer, but you may want to check with toyota financial.

Each company is different with their lease return rules, and it's been 10+ yrs since my last Toyota lease, so your best bet would be to call and ask about returning at a different dealer. (I would think it's fine.)
I know that with my last Honda lease, I had to schedule an inspection a month or more before my return date. They sent a 3rd party inspector to my house.
They may stick you with getting new tires, even if there is life left in the originals.
My guess is that anytime now they will start to bombard your mailbox with letters asking if you've decided what you want to do at lease-end.
I've leased 4 vehicles. All in all, the returns have been pretty painless.

I am about the turn in a 4Runner lease to an Oregon dealership that I bought in CA ... because the car's up there at a different house.

For Toyota, you can turn it in anywhere there is a Toyota dealership... but I believe Hawaii rules are vastly different. If this is a TFS lease, you can. And, have fun in your vagabond travels!!!
