Current Market for Gen 1 Tundra DC 4x4?

My brother-in-law is trying to decide between a Gen 2 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 and a Gen 1 DC 4x4. He's visiting from northern cali and he's found the used Gen-1 DC 4x4 market a lot higher than he expected. Dealers are telling him that the Gen-1 trucks are selling for thousands over book.

So, we've checked the 2009 incentives in the SoCal region and now he's seriously thinking of buying a new Gen-2 Crewmax or DC 4x4. He's pretty sure he can pick one up for invoice minus incentives. While the Gen-2 will cost more, he's thinking why not get a new truck if they won't sell the Gen-1 for something reasonable.

He's puzzled over is the current market for 4x4 DCs in the Norcal/West coast market?

Would any of you be kind enough to provide some insight on the current auction/wholesale prices on 2005-2006 Tundra DC 4x4 coming off of lease? And, what you think such a truck should retail for?

I've got a 2005 Doublecab 2 WD with bedliner and canopy 34K miles, brand new Michelin M/S tires. If there's interest It's for sale, as I'd like a new one. Dealers are offering 12-13.5 in trade for a 2009. I live in Oregon. PM me. Steve
