I wasn't asking for the MSRP so you could negotiate down, I wanted to know simply so I could gauge where Invoice was at? Sheesh ... it doesn't really matter though as long as you know how much they have in the truck.
Regardless, it's not that tough to figure out. Take your
edmunds invoice and add a few hundred to factor in for TDA (ad fee).
Holdback is 2% of Total MSRP less destination, and Wholesale Financial Reserve is 1%, or exactly 1/2 the holdback amount.
There's not a whole hella' of a lot of front end gross on these trucks. When you see huge discounts, it's usually because of large rebates and/or trunk money. Pricing changes all the time based on many factors. Maybe you just happen to be in a region where supply is low and they don't need to blow their trucks out for invoice or less. However, manufacturers incent vehicles to move them, and therefore, it shouldn't be unreasonable for you to get a near invoice deal.
If you're willing to pay a few hundred over invoice, why not just make them a counter offer? I dunno', maybe you already did, but if they don't budge, then find another dealer.
