Default 08 SR5 Pricing

I just got a quote for a SR5 with the following:

Vehicle Base Model: $ 38500.00
Deluxe AM/FM/Six-CD Changer with 8 Speakers:
Roof Rack
Cold Kit Includes:
Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror with Compass,Homelink and Lamp:
running boards:
Rear Spoiler
Daytime Running Lights (DRL) with On/Off
Tow Prep Package Plus Tow Hitch
Carpeted floor mats/Door Sill Protector
Wheel Locks (Alloy)

Total .......................................: $ 41666.00
Invoice was $37500.00
Gave an additional discount so final before Tax an Lic : $36600.00

This was not taking the $3500.00 dollar discount instead taking the 1.9% 60 month.

What do you guys think good deal or not? Really wanted the leather but hard to find without stepping up to the Limited.

I'm in Northern Cal but looking down south and else where.

I don't know if that's a good deal or not. I've recently seen some '08 Limiteds near me for pretty good deal (MSRP $43 Asking $35). I'm wondering how long these have been sitting idle on the lot. Do you think that could be a problem?

Don't expect much in the south here. All we have is a $3,000 rebate, no special APRs. If they showed you the invoice, and gave you a price $900 less, then it looks like they are going deep into any holdback that may be on there to get rid of it. Keep in mind that even though I mentioned holdback, much of that really doesn't exist on a vehicle that has been sitting on a lot for months on end as the dealer has been paying interest on their floorplan for that vehicle. That eats up the holdback after about 3 months.

Looks like a good deal, but it also would have helped if you mentioned it was a Sequoia. I started trying to find a Tundra until I notice a rear spoiler add.

tundradreams,

Sorry about that. I know you were trying to help out and missing info doesn't help, yea it is a Sequoia I'm looking for. I'm willing to travel, I figure I might be able to get it closer to $36000.00.

I just bought an 08 Tundra SR5 DC with an MSRP of $36 I paid $29,500 and then got an additional $4500 rebate so a total of around $25000 and some change. I thought I got a hell of a deal. Mine was a program car but it only had 2000 miles on it and still looks and smells new.

You can get a smoking deal now that the 2010s are hitting the lot.

Malibu,
Take a look at this thread if you haven't purchased. If you can find a dealership willing to work with you, then you might be able to do much better.

In particular, look at Creggur's posts. He says a lot of things that I have been told were true by people in the biz. But, this is the first time I'm actually looking for a NEW car that has been on the lot for a year or so and is 2 model years old! We'll see if I can find a dealer to work with. If not, oh well. What's the consolation prize, anyway... a 2010!

TundraD alludes to what is said in this post. Perhaps, TD you can elaborate?

The Price Is Right
