Sticker Price Shock

Went to servco leeward interested in buying a new truck. Was shocked at the price of a tundra and a tacoma. In fact, a TRD sport tacoma 4x2 was only slightly cheaper than a pretty decently loaded chevy avalanche. The tudra was a lot more than the chevy. The salesman pretty much told me that that is the price and being that servco is the only dealership that carries toyota bargaining for a cheaper price is difficult. What to do, what to do!!!

dude that sucks, here on the big island they don't even stock any new tundra's. the salesman said you come in and ask what is available and they can check for you

Howzit 808, you gotta decide what best fits your budget. Servco is pretty much a monopoly on the islands so good luck trying to get a so called "good deal". I had to special order my Crewmax from Servco so there was no way in hell I could negotiate with them. I know the Chevy and GMC trucks come with the optional 6.2L engines that had good reviews. Good luck with your decision...

You might want to buy used. Check craiglist, they have a few 2nd Gen Tundras.

was the sticker shock price MSRP? Or was there a markup?

Must have been a mark up. Tundras are comparatively priced to the other brands when comparing apples to apples (not a CrewMax to any other brand).
