Default What are you guys paying for new CrewMax 4wd's?

How much off sticker should I be able to get for a Limited CrewMax 4wd? I am in WNY if it matters...

I have looked at used ones on ebay and the price they are asking for used ones almost makes getting a new one a better deal...what are those people thinking?

FYI... I am not the type of person to trade in/up every 2 years, I run them for a min of 200k or until they cost more to maintain than they are worth. Doing such, I try to get a vehicle with all the bells and whistles so I will be as happy as possible with it until it dies or is replaced.

That depends how you are paying for it. More cash, more discount.

Why would that matter? The dealer get's all their cash when the bank/CU pays them for it after the loan goes through. The days of cash talks BS walks is largely over unless they plan on not reporting the income because cash is so easy to hide.

I would think that you would get the best deal on a custom order truck verses one on the lot that may have been there for a few weeks or months because then the dealer keeps ALL of the dealer hold back rather than using it to pay on the floor plan.

You would think so but I have found the opposite. Special order is more. Especially if you order anything out of the ordinary, whatever that is.

Inventory is a little tight at the moment on CM, Limited, 4x4 trucks. It's not easy trying to get a truck in the color you want and with the right options your looking for. Do a search on autotrader for new trucks within a 500 mile radius from your zip code. It will list the dealer and the number of trucks they have in Inventory. Check out the dealers website to get a better idea on the truck listed in new Inventory. That's what I did the last two months before I bought my 2010.

Do your home work. Build the truck you want using edmunds, Cars.com & Toyota.com to get a better idea on what invoice prices are. If you find a CM you like, call the dealer to check if this truck is still available and what options are on this truck. Don't pay more than $500 over invoice price. Be prepared to walk if your not happy.

Good luck.

Hey SorryO.. I live in western NY also (Hornell) and just bought my DC 09 Tundra Grade 5.7L with cold weather and towing ect. from Dorshel Toyota in Roch NY. They have about 7 2010 Tundras in stock and i believe 1 Crew Max Grade for around 37k.. Sticker on my truck was 32,500 and i got it for 26,500 so i would think you could get it for around 30k or less.. I searched all over western NY before i bought my Tundra and Dorshel had the most inventory and best prices.. GL on your purchase..

I always try to go for invoice - rebate at least and have them give you a good interest rate if not paying cash. I never look at the MSRP...

if you let me know what color/options you're looking for I'll see what I can do. Also if you give me a vin# of any truck you're looking at I can tell you all of the invoice pricing. I'd like to net out around 800-1200 profit on Tundras, that's with holdback and everything.

If I can do anything to help just let me know, and if you want a warranty don't pay too much, check out my thread in the general classifieds.

33,500 OTD including tax tags and title for an 09 Crewmax SR5, 4x4, 5.7. This Minus 7500 for my trade, an 04 Dakota Quad Cab 4.7 4x4 with 75000 miles,= 27 something. IT stickered for 36,500. They gave me 1000 dollars more than what any website anywhere values my trade at with those miles, but only gave me the extra thousand bucks after I got up to leave.Trade aside I believe my deal came out to about invoice when all was said and done but the taxes and fees were included in this price.

Cash does not rule anymore. Depends on rebate vs. available finance rates. Sometimes the cash rebate doesn't put as much back in your pocket as the lower interest, plus there is usually more wiggle room in the deal with financing because they can shop your credit app around to financers they normally take bulk business to and get a bit of a kickback. I find there's usually more wiggle room in the deal if I look at something on their lot, as what they really want to do is move trucks that are sitting on THEIR lots waiting to be sold if they can.
