If you are ever in a dealership and you get 'flipped' to another salesman, salesperson, whatever -- sometimes it's in your best interest. A lot of sales folks know when they are not clicking with their customer, and they will find another salesman to step and and see if they are a better fit. Getting passed around several times isn't fun and it usually means one of two things:
1. they feel that they are getting closer to a committment or a deal, and want to make sure there's strength there to close it fully.
2. each person you speak with sees no good end to your visit and they want to get rid of you, and saddle someone else with the rask of helping you.
I have an assistant (Jane) who helps me daily with my paperwork and deliveries when we're busy, so in my case, you don't get passed to others EVER.
Each dealer feels differently about how their store works. I work in a pretty gentle store. But, a closer is a closer. Floor manager, senior sales manager, call 'em what ya will.. a closer is a closer!

You can usually tell what their plan is.
If you're getting passed around on a visit to a store, they are only trying to either bring you to a plateau to deal, or they are bored with trying to commit you. You may recognize a good buying situation or you may not. For me, the ideal situation would be staying with the same person, getting what you need for information and details, and being able to leave without pressure or anyone chasing you out the driveway...
