This is a discussion thread titled "In reality. How long should my Tundra last?", within the Pricing and Dealers forum, part of the Marketplace Forums category.
How long should my truck last. With good maintenence, some rust proofing, washing and waxing and trying to keep it in good condition. Engine, tranny how long can these components lost?
How long should it last?
I had a GMC before this, lasted to about 200,000 miles before it started really feel old. Many repairs along the way to 200k but the truck was enjoyable.
I purchased the Tundra 4x4 Limited because of they rep and I had never bought a Toy before?
How long might it last? It is a 2003 Tundra Limited Salsa Red

Thats hard to tell since the tundra just came out in 99.But if my uncles 91 gmc sierra v6 has lasted 222,000 miles and counting,I predict the tundra to go past that.

That Tundra will last forever! I often tell folks with Tacomas, Tundras, Camrys etc that their car will last till they are sick of it, LOL... I seldom get things like that traded back in "worn out" -- mostly the car's outlived its usefulness and needs to be replaced with something bigger, SUV-like, or just different because of a lifestyle change...
A relative of mine works at the National Headquarters in Torrance, CA. That is where I have my truck serviced. At 130,000+ miles, Toyota certified mechanics often say my engine performs as if it is brand new. I have been very strict on the maintenance. Your truck will last as long as you want it to.
