I'm thinking this is just a regular old deal on a truck. I will take it as it's not a rip off but not a steal either. Anybody any input.

I'm paying 35K for that exact same package. Being delivered on the 15th. I went through my CU's buying program. Costco was going to give me a slightly higher price but still very close to 35K.

I'm showing this from edmunds.com:

MSRP Invoice "fair market"
$41,217 $36,701 $39,022

Take $2500 rebate off the invoice and add about $500-600 fair profit for the dealer and you should be there.

$36,701 - $2500 = 34,201 + 600 = 34,201

Check it out here: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/toyo....html?action=2

Good luck,

RE

I contracted for one like this in February on President's Day. I only see one difference: The one here had VSC instead of traction control
MSRP $41,217 (window sticker)

Rebate - $2500 (Southern California)

Makes it $38717

I would pay $35578 before tax and license

Does this sound about right to all you others out there with similar option packages?
I contracted for one in New Jersey on President's Day which was very similar: It had a MSRP of $41,916 It had Vehicle Stability Control instead of Limited Slip Differential and running boards. We came to a price of $38,300 less the $1,300 (NJ) incentive for a net of $37,000. It was a busy day and I waited for the business manager for hours. During those few hours I had second thoughts about the 2006 being the 2007 will represent such a change and I did not close the sale. I am still interested, but not at $37,000 Your MSRP is $700 lower than mine which would drop my $37,000 to $36,300 so you are close. I would do the $41,916 Tundra here at $36,300

That sounds like a good deal to me. I bought mine for $33,700 and it didn't have Entertainment, Navi or TRD.

What I did when I bought my truck is I told them I was willing to pay $500 over the dealer invoice price. I asked for a copy of the dealer invoice. I ended up paying $250 over minus the $1500 doallar rebate at the time. That put me at $1250 under the dealers "cost". Of course they have hold back and other hiddens to ensure they make a profit. But came out with a hell of a deal on my 05. DO NOT discuss any type of trade in until you guys come to some conclusion on the price of the new truck. And then look at trading your truck in along the lines of you are selling it to the dealership. Know what it is worth before you go in there.

You could get it cheaper if you wanted to. You have to ask yourself if you need all the bells and whisltes such as the sunroof, navigation, rear entertainment, and leather seats w/heat. To me all that stuff in unecessary, but It's all a personal preferance.

Well here are the numbers:

2006 Tundra DC 4x4 Limited with: Base price $30,245 Invoice: $27,370
(SR) Sunroof - MSRP $1000 Invoice: $800
(NV) Navigation MSRP $1650 Invoice: $1413
(EY) Rear entertainment MSRP $1780 Invoice: 1424
(LA) Leather MSRP: $1095 Invoice: $876
(LD) Limited slip MSRP: $275 Invoice: $227
(OF) TRD Off road package
(CK) all weather package MSRP $100 Invoice: $80
(HD) Heated seats MSRP $440 Invoice: $352
(CF) floor mats MSRP $152 Invoice: $105
(JC) Accessory meter/ homelink MSRP: $160 Invoice: $128
(KG) color keyed running boards MSRP: $345 Invoice: $276
(RL) Daytime Running Lamps MSRP: $40 Invoice: $32
(TO) Tow Package

I came up with an estimated sticker price of $37,887 I would like to see the sticker on your truck and see exactly what they are charging you. But anyways on the above vehicle the sticker price is $37,887. That means the Invoice price with all options above is: $33, 688 and the average that people are paying for this similar vehicle with similar options is: $35,567

I hope this helps.
