Ah yes, forgot to mention that... Feb 14th for the non-C/M models, and "approx" one month more for c/m.

Just got off the phone with my dealer - he is expecting pricing to be released tomorrow morning. Unfortunately no word yet on delivery.

Funny how different statements can be. My Dealer told me today that the official release date would be Feb. 18th and pricing should be available at the end of this week.

After spending some time this weekend comparing prices of Tacomas, I believe the Tundras will be 33% more in Canadain Dollars vs USA Dollars for the same options. So a $45k us Truck will be $59.85k cdn.

Just build a Tundra on the Toyota.com site and multiply by 1.33 to get Canadian price.

You've basically spec'd out the same trucks in each market to get the 33% figure? Our exch rate is only at .85 so the rest is Toyota Canada's profit? Grrrr
33-18.2 = 14.8% higher price in Canada after taking into account the exchange rate....

Will be interesting to find out tomorrow, I told my dealer that I will not accept this type of gouging and will shop south of the border if this is the case. He seems to think Toyota has smartened up and does not want Canadians buying in the US and will price the trucks accordingly. This was specifically brought up by the rep at their training.

I fully expect the Tundras to have the same price ratio as the Tacomas, so as soon as someone has the price and the exact specs for a Canadian Tundra please post, and we will compare to USA MSRP.

BTW: I talked to a bunch of US Dealers (Toyota and Chevy) most said they cannot sell a new vehicle if they know its goning to be imported directly into Canada. Not because it violates any laws, but Companies like Toyota make dealers sign agrements not to do so. This is so they can inflat prices north or south of the border without consiqences. But if you say you've just moved into the states, and can provide a US address (relative maybe?) and are able to pay cash, then its probably do-able. Talked to US and Canadian border agents, and neither have a problem with us importing new or used, Canada just wants its GST.

However Canadaians can buy used from a dealer (vehicles like demo trucks, lease returns etc.) or from a private US citazen. No tax will be paid on the purchse (new or used) as you wont be living in that state, just 6% gst at the border, + $200 import fee.

I will be buying a nearly new C6 corvette in about a month from California probably.

Ohhh man, if a CM is $60k I can't justify that!!! An identical (ok, very similar) Silverado LTZ CrewCab fully loaded is $52-53 MSRP, with low interest rates, and by the time I buy in Fall/Spring 08 they will have the 6 spd and an indication of reliability. I love the look of the Tundra outside...need to see the inside in person. I get my new company truck tomorrow...drove by the fleet office leaving work tonight and their is an F150 and Sierra ext cabs sitting in the yard, hope I get the Sierra, it will give me 6 months to give the truck a good work out and maybe make up my mind.

I just priced my dream 2007 Tundra SR5 DC 5.7litre 4 x 4 at Toyota.com and including the Option package F and a bedliner the price is $US 34,700 incl. Destination & Handling. This package is comparable to the 2006 Access cab with the Offroad package in Canada, which was priced around $CAD 41,600 incl Destination and Doc fee.

I'm really looking forward what Toyota Canada will make out of this. Cross border shopping is a very likely option for me.

The SR5 looks to be the best value 2007 Tundra by far. And for about $1500 cdn you can have leather installed professonally, that is as good as oem, and many more colors to choose from.

I did this on my 2006, and am very happy with it, I got my kit form Katskinz.

Well, just got pricing for my truck. I'll never admit it but Toyota Canada seems to have finally decided to do things right with regards to pricing.
My truck a LTD crewmax with the B package (20" alloys + backup sensor), 4x4, 5.7L, etc. works out to CDN$51,955 plus freight/PDI of $1390, works out to CDN$53,345. If I recall correctly this same truck worked out to USD$49k and change in the states.

Do the math on the exchange.... this truck is cheaper in CANADA!!!

Toyota Canada has told the dealers that they feel Canada will have a 1.5% price advantage over USA for the Tundras.

BTW, the dealer has an identical sister truck coming in black that has not been spoken for.

Delivery has still not been confirmed, they are thinking mid-March. The regular and DC trucks arrive on Feb 20th. This particular dealer is getting a total of 20 trucks for 2007.

Thats great news, I may just get an 07 instead of an 08. Canada is a huge truck market (especailly western provinces). And its looks like toyota wants a bigger piece of the pie. Would like to see some prices on DC's in Canada.

Will your truck have the DVD navigation? I added the same truck in USA to be about $47k-$48k. Yours should have the towing package right? as its has the 5.7.

BTW, this would make the 2007 DC noticalby cheaper than the 2006 DC, if both trucks had minimal options.

I think Canada has more laws Toyota must deal with such as the ignition chip in your key. On my 06 AC the keys are shown to be different for the Canadian vs US (no chip) key, just one obvious example.

Wow....$52k for a CM Ltd...thank heaven. That eliminates price from the equation for me in the Tundra vs. Silverado choice. As an added bonus I picked up my new work truck today and it is an 07 Silverado Ext Cab Z71....I have it for at least 6-9 months so should be able to get a good idea of if it is better than the old generation....first impression is nice ride, a bit cheap inside...time will tell.

Also, a guy at work is talking about buying a Tundra this spring so I'll have two first hand comaprisons.
