GRN250L is the "model code" for a 4X4 V6 AT Doublecab w/ longbed! The L just means it's Left hand drive.

Thank you for that clarification! Would you also happen to know whether the last 6 digits (if they are the actual serial number of that model) represent how many of that model that were made or the total number of Tacoma's made in 2006?

If you are referring to the same model code (example: GRN250L-PRADKA), then no. The last 6 letters just indicate other options. From left to right, Cab type, body type, Gear shift type, Grade, Engine spec, & Destination.
In this case, P=doublecab, R=Standard Deck (body type), A=5 speed automatic, D=DLX (grade), K=DOHC & SFI, A=USA & Canada (destination).

I don't think the actual VIN number indicates how many were made either.
