I want to buy a new 2006 Tundra to replace my 01, but after reading the horror stories on the service dept's, where should a guy go???? I've got my own stories about Maplewood. There's got to be a good dealer up here somewhere.
Thanks, John

it seems you have a horrible experience from Maplewood. But mine was not.back in 2005,were just 5mos immigrant then, without any credit history and bank accounts but i had a good deal with Tim Ehlenz of Maplewood Toyota on my first car.I would recommend him.I never met him personally (im in Mississippi) and only transacted with him through phone. He assisted me with the financing and provided me in details all possible mode of payment i can afford.I got 3.9 APR@ 60mos and less 1,000 discount from MSRP....In comparison to what i got for my wife in Memphis,TN (covington Pike toyota) we were duped.were excited with the new RAV4 that time and our emotions was taken advantaged of.we're taken over by sales talk.cant blame them, its their job and its how they wre trained BUT i still hate them though.our APR was tripled and hurried my wife to sign papers with all those additional charges without explanations and only learned it when we got home.Furthermore,we were not the only ones being victimized since my fellow immigrants too(were group of nurses from SE Asia).so beware of TOYOTA MEMPHIS.. they're a shame in USA

I didn't buy my Tundra or Camry (both used) from Luther's Golden Valley dealership but my experiences with their service and parts departments have been positive. I try do every bit of my own repair and maintenance work but I have had some things done there and it went quite well. These things are so dependent on the individual you deal with so personalities can vary a bunch.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!

allo, you are correct about Tim. We bought 2 vehicles from him and were extremely happy. I'd recomend Tim to anyone and have done so many times. My problem is with service, they're nice enough, but it's like the techs are in too much of a hurry and "forget" to finish what they are doing. Way too many instances of this. Larry thanks for the comments about Luther, I'm starting to do more of my own work too. Maybe I should be looking for a good independent shop for the times I need something big done.
