Pricing and DealersDiscussions that are specific to vehicle pricing, preferred dealer pricing, current incentives, rebates, and experiences.
This is a discussion thread titled "Scion and Pricing", within the Pricing and Dealers forum, part of the Marketplace Forums category.
It is true that there is no negotiating price with a scion and the prices are already set? My sister went to the dealership and they claim there is no negotiation on the price as they are already set. Is this true?
this is very true, All prices have to posted online, on the cars and in the paper the exact same way. They actually come audit the stores to make sure that no one does it differently
As a matter of fact, there arent even suppose to negotiate on trade. Whatever number they give you first is the number they are suppose to stick with even if you say, give me another 10 bucks and we got a deal. I am sure that doesnt go down correctly all the time though
It is suppose to be the wave of the future.

YEP ....... PA is the same as NY, MD, VA, WV, DE, NC, .......... ECT!!!!! BUT, the dealers are allowed to have a Posted Special ........ Like a dealer may have a $300.00 Off Scions Sale ......... BUT, that includes EVERY SCION ON THE LOT!!!!! Then it has to be posted in the show room and on line ...ECT.........
It part of the Scion Coventry ....... Agreement between scion and the Dealership.

you can put certain scions on sale, but you have to list it onliine, list it on the car and you have to sell it for that price. We have just tc's on sale right now.

That's Covenant.
The agreement that all dealers have with Scion (aka Toyota) is that all dealers use a pricing menu, and that's got to be clearly posted online, in showroom, and in each deal, signed by consumer.
If there is a sale, it's also posted the same way. If you have a sale on tC's then every single tC is posted on sale, and marked accordingly.
