Pricing and DealersDiscussions that are specific to vehicle pricing, preferred dealer pricing, current incentives, rebates, and experiences.
This is a discussion thread titled "Most recent incentives/financing?", within the Pricing and Dealers forum, part of the Marketplace Forums category.
I'm in Northern CA and I've seen a few dealers out here advertising 3k off MSRP on 07' Tundra's and also just noticed a dealer that is offering 3.3% APR for 36 months which is down from 3.9%.
Anyone else seeing any attractive incentives in your area. Is Toyota starting to soften up some on pricing and does this mean people are starting to get them under invoice? Thx.
$1000 rebates for customer cash
$1000 trade in allowance if you use customer cash
or
0% for 36 months
1.9% for 48
2.9% for 60 months
You will not get the rates and the trade in allowance.
What's rebates for customer cash? My dealer gave me an internet quote of about $3600 off MSRP on a 07 Tundra DC. This negotiation was in the last week of April. Now, can I get the extra $1000 rebates for customer cash on top of my deal? I have not made a deposit or anything yet. I'll go to the dealership this weekend. Thanks!

Wow....That's a great deal..My Credit Union had a special in April for 4.9%, 36, 48, 60 months. Glad I waited on Toyota...
My assumption is that if you take the 1000 customer cash you provide your own financing or pay cash and are not entitled to Toyota's special rates. If you use Toyota's financing you are not entiltled to the customer cash. If you trade a vehicle they will give you an extra thousand on its value. I may just bring in a 50 dollar junker to get that. I am sure the money comes from the factory but can be assigned to the dealer. This will get the money knocked off your vehicle upfront. Hope this helps.
OK, so somebody want to explain the above to me in plain english?
I would assume that the customer cash means that if I buy using cash, then I get $1000 rebate. Who is the rebate from, the dealer or the factory? I would assume the factory. Does it apply to the final price when I am buying the truck or do they mail out a check after the purchase? Or does the customer cash apply to everyone no matter if they finance or buy with cash?
And the trade in allowance I don't get either. I understand they add $1000 to the trade-in value. But what is the "if you use customer cash" part? Do you have to use the $1000 rebate on accessories or something? Or is it $1000 added to your trade-in also only apply if you pay cash?
Sorry for the noob questions. Just wanted to make sure I understood exactly what they mean before I try to apply it to a purchase.
Thanks.
I will try to make it make sense for you
If you pay cash or use your own financing, then you get a $1000 rebate from toyota towards the deal. Most people use it at the time of purchase but if you actually wanted a check mailed to your house you could do that too. Nobody has ever done that in my 11 years
If you use the special toyota rates, you do not get the rebate
If you have a trade in, and dont use the toyota rates, then you will get an additional $1000 rebate from Toyota. Like someone else said, you could trade in a car worth a buck and still get the rebate.
I dont know anyway of explaining it any easier. If you are still confused, call me and maybe over the phone I could explain it better
