Wow dude you really have had a bad time with Longo. I just read this whole thread and all I can say is take it somewhere else man. You will probably be better off. It almost sounds like they have high school kids doing there work for them. That is a shame. By what I read here it looks like the oil from the engine that coated your engine bay may have affected some of the electronics which may have lead to the uncontrolled acceleration. I would get the harness replaced and anything else that they damaged and then take it to a second dealer and have the second dealer double check the work. Then file complaints with toyota and the BBB. I am sure the dealer will hear from one or both of them espacially if all the othe runsatified customers doo the same. Good luck and I hope things turn out fot the better.

Just don't take your truck to Hamer if it's dirty. I brought mine in after off-roading and the bastards used towels to wipe the gritty mud off damaging the paint. Service manager said their automated machines didn't cause that and I showed him the pictures and told him "I know, your idiots did this by hand". Between Hamer and my crappy attorneys, I was SOL!

Longo is the biggest joke of a dealearship ever. My company purchased 3 Tundras from them 3 months ago...or at least that's what we thought. Only 2 that we had ordered were ready the day we showed up. I was driving one back to the office when I realized there was no knob/swith/button to engage 4x4. All trucks were supposed to have 4x4. To make a very very long story short. I called the salesman we had been dealing with and he didn't even know the truck was 2WD. So I took it back and they ordered me a new one and said it would be 3-4 more months. So I threatened to return both trucks and go somewhere else. So they offered free alarms for all the trucks. Waited 1 hr for the 1 good truck only to find out all limited Tundras come with factory alarm. Returned all trucks and took my business to Quality Toyota in Corona, Ca. Got all 3 trucks the same day in stock for about $10,000 less overall. Don't go to Longo. Too big to care about customers.

I work for a Toyota dealership (one that is corporate owned, but small and pretty quaint when it comes to dealing and taking care of their customers). I can tell you that your best bet with a complaint of this nature is to certainly deal with Toyota. Toyota will go above and beyond (in my experiences) at not only getting your issues resolved but in dealing with the service department in the future. Like was said in this thread, once they complete the work at Longo, be sure to take it to another dealership and have them look it over. If things aren't up to spec, make certain to get Toyota involved. Toyota takes great pride in it's customer satisfaction all around. When our customer's are finished in the sales or service department, we always emphasize that if they can't give us "excellent" all around on the survey they may receive to come back to us so we cna resolve any issues. Surveys impact people's pay plans...You definately need to address this issue with Toyota.
