Pricing and DealersDiscussions that are specific to vehicle pricing, preferred dealer pricing, current incentives, rebates, and experiences.
This is a discussion thread titled "$5K off MSRP", within the Pricing and Dealers forum, part of the Marketplace Forums category.
Dealer in Ontario OR advertising extended cab Tundras for $5K off MSRP and they throw in a $250 gas card. At those prices I would say the trucks are starting to look competitive.

Hometown Toyota? I am thinking I should have waited and maybe have gotten a sweeter deal!
dang I thought the markup between invoice and MRSP was only around 2700-3000 I only got mine for 1700 under MSRP and had to go through 10 dealers to find that.... they all said that they do not get discounted much because they are worth every penny and they will hold their value good. They must be getting their trucks way under invoice somehow maybe special dealer incentives?
Champion Toyota in Houston is offering $8K off MSRP on all in-stock Tundras. Of course they don't have everything you want and on most vehicles they have stuff you don't but the discount is nice!!

Where does this put you as far as invoice goes it sounds way back of it?
I had to stop lurking and post I just checked their Inventory and its huge. What did you pay OTD for yours if you don't mind telling. I would make the trip from AZ for $8K off between now and the end of month for that deal.
I am wanting a:
2007 Toyota Tundra
5.7 CrewMax SR5 4x2 (For price reasons)
but at that price maybe I could swing the
Ltd. 4x4
The best price so far is right around $500 over invoice on the SR5 4x2).
I paid $1500 Below INVOICE, Went straight on the phone to the local dealer's Internet/Fleet Sales manager and made the deal on the phone. He even emailed me two invoices to look at on two trucks he had in stock.

Any update on this? I can't find anything on Houston offering this deal. I was so close to buying one on friday here in Austin. I was on my way to pick it up and the salesman calls me back to tell me it isn't a TRD. I'm rethinking it now. TRD's are hard to find for some reason.
Here in Birmingham, Al the dealerships are offering $2500 Cash Back plus some off MSRP for Reg Cab and Double Cab, they won't come off much for the Crew Cab.

It's in their Saturday ad in the Houston Chronicle.
Remember that MSRP numbers in Gulf States Toyota states such as Texas are padded with high-margin port options and, sometimes, even "market adjustments" which are simply increased prices so it is common to see big discounts off of MSRP advertised. Even if they take $500 off of "The Extra Mile" and $500 off of "Texas Edition", you're still paying too much.
