Exclamation Prius Navigation System

I purchased my Prius in July 2006. During a recent cross country trip I experienced difficulties with my Navigation System. While on an interstate highway in the split screen mode (map/data) the data screen froze while the map view tracked correctly. I had to re-cycle the system several times to get the screen to provide correct data. In addition while on another interstate the data screen was off by as much as 3 miles (exit 189 reported as 186). The dealer checked the system and found the hardware working properly however, they have no way to check the software. I suspect my software is defective or has been corrupted. Has anyone had similar problems? If so has Toyota supported the software quality/reliability?

Default Re: Prius Navigation System

Call Toyota Headquarters and complain. Get a case number.

They have Upgraded MapDVD/ Firmware on certain Nav equipped models. Only if the Software exists and applies to your specific equipment.
TSB through warranty. Call and verify this.
