Default Dead Battery

I work for Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, we have just purchased 150 new Prius's. We have experienced dead batteries on the cars after they sit for 4 or more days. After looking at the battery which is located in the right side of the trunk, we have found they don't have much reserve capacity. When you need to jump start the car you can do under the hood, Take off fuse box cover, lift red cover, connect positive cable to the metal there and negative to stud located on cowl. I hope this helps all

This is very weird. Yes the 12v batteries may drain due to the continual draw of the SKS but 4 days is too short. Now if you said 4 weeks that is more likely but still a little short.

Due to this potential to drain the 12v, the vehicle has a 'Key' shutoff button under the steering wheel. This is intended to be used when the vehicle is going to sit unused for more than 2 weeks.

4 days to me seems very short. The answer about the key button under that dash is correct if you have one with teh smart key system
