Arrow How To Override 2007 Prius Moving Block of CD Content?

What is the status of being able to override somehow the block on CD contents screen when my 2007 Prius is moving? Is there any way I can override it. I know Toyota won't because they either don't know how or have been told not to as a safety issue. But there are so many safety issues that looking down at a screen to see or change what track you are on is nothing and the block preventing it is a stupid insult--unless Toyota makes it illegal for me to take my eyes off the road for anything.

So...how can I override this block so I can see a disc contents while I am moving? Surely someone has figured this out by now? I wish. Thank you.

Default Re: How To Override 2007 Prius Moving Block of CD Content?

Yu need to access the service screen IF available on the 2007's. Can't confirm if yu have this. This procedure is well documented and might or might not work on your MY "07. Check this site and others. Google it too.

On my HL/with Nav , my service screen is accessible and I can press "overide" to allow complete viewing while driving. This procedure will unlock FM messages and allow for other "while moving" features to be used if Nav. equipped.

Recently, I have installed a Lockpick from CoastalEtech.com and it gives me easier , automatic access to the over ride setting. Then all screens are displayed even while moving.

Go to Priuschat forums to find out more about your Prius too.
