Default Can You By-pass the 06 Prius Navi "I Agree" Screen

The 04/05 Prius Navi had a By-pass script that would allow the passenger to operate the Navi system while the car is moving; the 06 does not have this feature. Also, most Bluetooth interface features are blocked while the 06 Prius is in motion.

Are there By-pass options that will allow the Navigation and Bluetooth systems to be used while the car is moving.

What genius at Toyota allowed the lawyers to disable these great engineering features? Its like gluing the cork to the Genie bottle.

Help!!

It most certainly was the lawyers that disabled this option, not the engineers.

No luck bypassing Navi on my '06 either -- or eliminating that annoying "I Agree" prompt.

Bluetooth should connect as soon as Power on/ IG-On. I haven't found a need for other BT interface features while I'm driving (sync your address book at 70mph?). Answering and sending calls is no problem.

Check out coastaltech.com/04prius.htm They seem to have a fix for this issue.

The Coastal Tech fix is for the 04/05 Prius only.

What about the "feature" that the phone number disappears when the car starts to move...or doesn't show when getting a call if the car is moving? This is what happens on my '05, and on my friend's RX400h.

Someone will have to explain to me why it is safer to have to pull out the phone to see who is calling, rather than just having it show on the display in the car.
