Question 2006 Pius steering pad "Map"/spare switch

The "Map" switch is not used on cars w/o nav systems. Is it a dummy, or is it a real switch that could be used for another purpose such as EV mode? This has been posed in a couple of different ways over on priuschat.com, but there has been no follow-up. Any assembly or electrical diagrams available for the steering pad switch assembly?

Thanks. Now I could use instructions on disassembling the steering wheel. I guess I need to go in and see if there is anything there. I could also use electrical diagrams of the nav system to see what is normally there for the nav system.

Thanks again. More than enough info to show that the "Map" switch is not a spare. It is essentially multiplexed with the "Auto", "Temp +" and "Temp -" switches on the left hand steering pad switch, a probably even puts a signal out (by way of the A/C ECU) to the BEAN and AVC-LAN.
