Angry Ran Off the Road

My Sister owns a 2002 Prius and got the Toyota Extra Care Platinum Warranty with it. Honestly when we purchased it 2 years ago we never really trusted the car, but figured it was a toyota and if something goes wrong we have the warranty we've always trusted. Just yesterday however, as she was exiting off the freeway on a curved offramp, the steering wheel started to shake violently as though the steering wheel went completely dead. As she broke harder the steering was pretty much gone and she ran off the offramp and hit a pole. She had been complaining of the same issue a couple days ago but we thought it couldve been the road and told her to get over it. We took it to Toyota last night as they said they'll find what it was and today we get a call from toyota saying theres nothing wrong with the car. I know this is a bigger problem because after looking online a lot of people with this year have had the same problem but toyota never did anything about it. A few months ago we even had to have the battery replaced through warranty because of a bad cell. We filed a complaint with the regional office and they're coming out to the dealership in 2 days. Any body have any advice or experience with the issue? It just seems like they're trying to get away with not doing anything here.. thanks in advance!!

How about printing out all of these sources and documenting each issue. Contact the other owners and get their information and specific problem descriptions. Get contact information from the representative that shows up. If they tell you it's an isolated incident, show them the file and tell that you will pass their contact information to all of the other owners so that they can file formal complaints. In other words, go prepared and don't back down.
