I (again) complained about the number of stickies in the Tundra forum when a new sticky "How to improve gas mileage in your Tundra" showed up. My complaint was basically that the post didn't deserve being a sticky because each point in the post is common knowledge and easily answered through any web search; there was no Tundra-specific content.
Apparently the posting mod (name withheld) didn't like my comment so the ~6 replies were deleted and the thread locked. Now, we can't even rate the thread since it is locked. What's up with that?

Hello, I'll try and answer your questions here.
1. Primary contact mod for each forum?
no. Each moderator in the truck forums have equal authority. If you would like to contact a mod, send them a PM. You may also send an administrator a PM, and we'll get in contact with the mod you were trying to contact. I only ask that you please keep it civil and your questions short and clear. If you have a longer question or it is something that could benefit others if posted on the forum, if not already posted, create a new thread.
2. Approval process for a sticky?
no. Sticky threads are traditionally based on their content. If the content or subject is a popular one, or is a frequently asked question, or a frequently posted topic, a moderator will create a sticky thread. Hopefully, the sticky thread will link to a few examples within the forum, or have a clear and concise reason to be a sticky.
3. Sticky of common knowledge allowed?
yes/no. Sometimes what is common knowledge to you may be utterly obscure to your neighbor. We encourage feedback such as this to help us choose what gets stuck and what doesn't. I created a DIY User Knowledgebase made completely of other member's threads and psots. Some of this may ceratinly be common knowledge. This is ALL Tundra specific content.
4. What's up with that?
I saw the thread, and all of the subsequent replies, all of which were deleted. You are not alone in thinking we have too many sticky threads. I took action to combine, move, and remove certain sticky threads today. I hope it looks less congested. Please keep in mind that there will be more sticky threads in the future. But in due time, they will fall as well. Check the Questions & Comments forum as they may have been moved there.
Please continue to gives us feedback! I appreciate it, good

or bad

.
Kindest regards,
Andy
