Default How can I embed pics between text?

Hi there, I would like to post a thread comparing some side steps (nerf bars) that I recently bought, then returned, then bought another brand.
I would like to post this thread in a "story board" sort of way, where I give some detail (text) then post a pic to show that I am talking about, then I give some more detail, then post another pic right below that to show what I am talking about. So far, i have been able to "upload photo's" in other threads, but they are all grouped together- with thumbnails...
Can you please advise on the easiest way to post actual pictures BETWEEN text on a thread? Please PM me if it would be easier to explain in words, and I will reply with my phone #, or even call you, if you don't mind...
Thanks very much.. I think I will be able to add a lot more to my threads (I always try to be helpful) if I can post some threads this way..

I know how to help you.
It's simple, but there are choices as well.

Here are your 4 options:

Option#1:
Embed the picture inbetween text as a thumbnail, like this:
IMG_16631.jpg
This way is simple, you just attach the photos/pictures to the post you are creating by clicking on the paperclip. You know how to do that obviously, you mentioned it already.
Now, click on the arrow immediately beside the paperclip, it shows you the .img's you've uploaded.
Click on one, it inserts it as a thumbnail as I did above.

Option#2:
Embed the picture inbetween text as a full-size pic, like this:

This way involves an extra step, and can be confusing to some. But I think you can handle it.
Upload the pic to the post as you would in Option#1.
Next, click the button Submit Reply on the thread.
You then have the thumbnails below, as you've seen in the past.
Click on one, click on the picture pop-up again.
Get the URL address, copy it.
Now go back and edit your post.
Go to the spot you want to add the picture, and click the Insert Image button.
Paste the URL in the right spot.
Click the Save button and submit the edit.

Option#3:
Embed the photo from your Member Photo Gallery, like this:

Instructions to add to your photo gallery are here: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...photo-gallery/
Open another tab or window in your IE6/7 or Mozilla.
Go to the photo you want to add to the post, click on it, get the URL from the area below the description.
Go to the post, paste the entire address. CONTROL + V.
(note: you do not add it as a Insert Image, the IMG tags are already included from the photo gallery)

Option#4:
Yes, there is another option.
Embed the photo from your User Profile Albums, like this:

This way is quite simple as well. And is the prefferred route for embedding full-size photos (under 800x600 please).
Upload the pictures to your User Profile Albums.
Go to the photo you want to add to the post, click it.
Scroll down the line that says BB Code, click the line address.
Copy it.
Go to the post you want to add it to, and paste the entire address. CONTROL + V. The IMG tags are already on it, no need to Insert Image.

That's it! All three options to add to your post/thread by means of uploading to the forum directly. Your other options would be using photobucket or imageshack, etc. But your photo will be deleted from there sooner or later. Sometimes within hours.

We encourage you to upload to the forum directly.

Let me know if I can help out more or if you need some clarification OR if I screwed up and something doesn't work as I described.

-Andy

Thanks so much Andy! I was wanting to use option 2, and I will give it a try! Thanks again.
