The new layout prevents me from seeing the boards or logging in. I have to click on "user CP" then go back to the old theme in order to see the different board.

The way you responded to Cliff post is what spurred this post.
Big O
I was short with Cliff because I'm not going to once again defend ad placement practices that have not changed in years. It's not about the number of members a forum may or may not have, that means absolutely nothing. Member registration data itself is by no means a measure of whether or not a site is busy or if it justifies having or not having ads.
I've been doing this for a decade and now run an enterprise level cluster setup serving millions of visitors a month. I do it because that's what's required to keep things moving smoothly. If that means that I have to throw up ads whenever I can to help pay for it then so be it.
Finally that tundra forum you mentioned is owned by a company that doesn't even own the Tundra so what does that tell you.

FYI - you can scroll to the bottom of the page to change the style.

I thought my post was quite benign and not confrontational. I certainly did not expect it to be closed down the way it was. I am not asking you to justify ad placement or anything but in the last couple of days, my perception is that the number of ads seem to have gone up dramatically. It is certainly your prerogative to place ads as you see fit, but there is no point is denying the obvious. TS is a great site and I will frequent it regardless of the number of ads.

Regards,
It's a perception thing. Many of the ads utilize the same colors as the style and perhaps are more visible because of that.

Keep in mind both styles share the same ads. More people just notice them more in the new style. I guess the actual advertisers will like that.
