2008 Rav4?

I did a search for the 08 RAV4 and all I found was an old post that said they would be built in canada and one that said they would not make a hybrid. Anyone have any info? Will they come from Canada instead of Japan? Would quality suffer if they do? Will there be any changes or updates to design, looks, or performance? When will the 08's be on the lots? Thanks for any insight!

I don't think the factory will be production ready until sometime in 2008. 2009's would be their first production model year. They will be supplying all Rav4's in North America. I really doubt quality will be any different.

Hey everyone, I just picked up my 2008 RAV4 Sport in Black Forest Pearl on Friday Sept. 28, having purchased it the Saturday before. According to the salesman, the vehicle arrived on the dealership the day before I bought it. Also, the sticker by the driver's door days "Made in Japan" and the vehicle was assembled in August 2007. Hope this helps.
