Default Resetting Maintenance Required Light

How do you reset the "Maintenance Required" light after an oil change. I usually take my RAV4 to the dealership for an oil change, but couldn't this last time. The dingbats at Mr. Ed's Oil didn't have a clue how to reset the light.

What about the dingbat that owns the vehicle?
Check your manual.

I checked the owners manual in my Mom's 2007 Rav 4 and couldn't find any info on it.

look again!! no just turn ignition on and set trip meter to trip A and push and hold in reset button that should be located under steering wheel for 3 to 5 seconds then turn off ignition and then turn back on and see if it stayed out! This procedure is in the manual just search for it again but it is probably wrong like everyone elses, they do not tell you to put it in trip A!

HOGWILD is 1/2 right , BUT>>>> It's on page 136 of your owners manual. They do tell you "TRIP A" (in this manual)
