97 rav4 check engine l

i have a 97 rav4 and the check engine light is one for egr insufficent flow i have replaced the egr,vacuum modulator and cleaned the intake manifold but the light is still one i have not been able to find the vacuum switching valve from dealers or parts places for that matter i cant find it on the car either please help

Sorry I can't help you... but am hoping you can help me

Also a '97 RAV4 with the check engine light on & AutoZone read the code as "bad egr valve". I'm looking for info on where it is & how to replace it. I.E. - Is it something I can do myself or do I need to take it to a shop?

Do you have any good links or info?

The EGR VSV is located under the intake manifold and bolted to the cylinder head. It can only be accessed thru the right fenderwell (wheel area) or from underneath.

the egr is mounted to the intake manifold and is easy to remove I recomend getting a haynes Repair Manual lots of good info in the book
