Default P0401
2000 Rav4 Auto Tranny with stubborn p0401 code. Is there anywhere other than the dealer to purchase parts for the vehicle....if they are needed...going to tackle checking the Modulator and the vacuum lines this weekend...any ideas on testing the VSV and also where on earth to buy them cheaper than the dealer......thanks.

Check some of the toyota yards. One that comes to mind is taprecycling.com. Some have had bad experiences and some have good. I've had good.

got my egr snd vac modulator from discounttoyotaparts.com but have to get the egrvsv from dealer

Really all you need is VSV. They go bad on the 5sfe all the time.
