Just bought myself a new Savannah 2008 Rav4 Limited 2 months ago. Haven't got the chance to load up any pictures yet, but I will once the snow melts a bit and when I have the chance to wash it up.
The ride is smooth, and with 4 wheel drive all the time you wouldn't have to worried about rain, snow, mud, and etc. With the 5-6 inches of snow we had three weeks ago, this baby didn't have any trouble climbing over left over snow that left behind by the snow plow on our drive way.
I didn't get the v6 version because this is my commute car. There's also the Hyrbid available, but it is not in my price range.
The dash lights up pretty good during the day and when night time comes around you can see things clearly well with the head lights.
Overall, I think I made the right choice.

Congratulations! My wife has wanted a RAV4 for about 7 years now. We finally bought a silver limited V6 4X4 and drove it home from Calgary yesterday. She's totally pumped on the vehicle, but choked as well - had had to bring it home with a transit sticker (out of province) and didn't get back in time to plate it, so she had to take her old car to work this morning and watch her brand new RAV disappear in the rearview miror. And its Saturday, so the stores will be closed before she's done, so she thinks she won't be able to use it until after work on Monday!
She doesn't know I took her info and plated it this morning. Should be funny when she gets home.

What kind of deals can you get on these? We test drove a limited last night and are thinking of heading back to the dealer to play the numbers game.
Thanks
Sorry, I was on a two weeks vacation.
Well, when I bought mine, it was price at 26,999. We only managed to drop the price tag to 24,999. At least it is 2,000 difference. I'm pretty sure if you really want to push things you can get a better deal.

We are also thinking about RAV4 LTD V6 , would like your thoughts, What you think of them. Check out ( rav4world.com ) seems like a good site
The v6 is a much better buy if you ask me. I didn't get the v6 because the v4 was sufficient enough for me. The price is not that much difference and you get more power for it. I say go for it.
Buy what you want now that way you won't regret later. Basic model is no different from limited, but there are always time when you wonder why you didn't get the limited because you didn't like the orange or pale green dash light, or why didn't it come with fog lights, stuff like that.
I once bought a 2003 rav the basic model and everytime I drove it, I wish I would of bought the limited version, but that is me.
Good luck on finding one that you two like.

Thanks, and congrats on your purchase too.
That is a bummer that she didn't get to drive it. That is how I feel when my car was sitting in the dealership for undercoat, clear bra installation.

Sorry for the mis-information here on Hybrid. There isn't any available Hybrid for the Rav4, I was looking at the Highlander when purchasing the Rav4. Hope this didn't throw anyone off.

I have also just bought a new 2008 Rav4 limited 4x4. I got a silver one with the works and leather seats. I got a really good deal and got it for just over $30,000 out the door (tax, title and tags included). In the process getting Sirius installed and an aftermarket security system and remote start later this week. I didn't like the ones offered through Toyota. Only drove it a few times since I bought it the other day. I plan on making a road trip this next weekend and break her in. For the price and options, I think I did well. You can't go wrong with this vehicle if you get a good deal on it. Congrats on your new one. I know you will love it!!
