Default Rav4

So I have toyota trucks for years, had an 89 v6 pick up that i whooped on for years and loved, an 03 V8 sport 4runner and now an 06 4runner. Time to get the wife a truck, she wants a rav. My first reaction was "There is NOW WAY IN HELL we'll get a rav4!!!". So i went and checked out an 08 V6. I have to say, as much as I hate to admit it, and i do hate to admit this, but it really wasnt all that bad. I must be getting old lol. Once inside, It has more room then you would think it does, handled decent and that V6 rav will definately smoke my V8 sport. That thing halled but for what it is. For her it might be ok........

So now the choice is......Limited or Sport...What do you think?

We (wife's car) have the 08 Limited, V-6, 4x2 and love it. The Sport is a little stiffer with the 18" wheels. We found the Limited plenty stiff and didn't see the purpose of the 18" wheels except for show.

The V-6, especially in the 4x2, is damn fast and puts a big grin on my face every time I drive it.

Get what's gonna make you happy.

Chevy trailblazer, leftover Highlander or slightly used Honda Pilot. The rav is too big for its britches now. Too much $$Dinero$$ for the tin can you get.

Grumpy, have you driven a newer Rav lately, like an 07 or 08? The early Ravs and the CR-Vs were very "tin can" like, but the new ones are a lot better. Also, how can you price compare a used Honda Pilot or Highlander to a new Rav4?

The honda or highlander are both excellent choices, but the trailblazer would not be one of my choices.
