third row seating questions

Does anyone own the new RAV4 with the 3rd row? I think it came out in 2006 with a 3rd row, but have only seen them in 2008's. It seems big enough for small kids on short trips when needed, but otherwise too small to use regularly. Anyone have any comments on their's with the 3rd row seating?

Rav4 with a third row seat sounds pretty cramped. I havent seen it but if theres ever a third row option on a vehicle id take it. If anything it will accomodate kids. If anyone has pics im sure they will help nshoag make a decision.

Hey, the third row did come on the new model in 06. I don't have one, but took a good look at one (bought a used Highlander instead) and you're right on. It's very small, only good for kids and only once in awhile. Probably not due to space, as it would have enough for kids, but because it's hard to get in and out of, and there is virtually no storage space with the seat up. Sadly, even the new HL doesn't have much space with the third row up.

i have one in my 07 limited. it is useful for occasional use with small kids. If i had 3 kids and had to put one back there all the time, i would have bought a bigger suv or minivan..
