Default 4WD Lock in Reverse?

Hi Folks,

Big snows in SE Idaho this winter and used my 07 RV4 V6 Limited AWD to pull my 4wheeler with snow blade off high center several times. It does have the 4WD lock, but that does not seem to work when in reverse. In fact, the AWD does not seem to work in reverse. When trying to pull backwards, the rear wheels spun and the front wheels just sat there. All worked great forward, but am now sweating putting this nice lil rig into the deep caca without a reliable 4WD working in reverse.

Anyone run into this? Any insight? Not much info in good ole owner's manual.

Help most appreciated!
