Default Re-setting A Toyota Alarm

hi, i went in today for a oil change in my wife 2005 rav4.

the alarm isn't working correctly.
some how we were able to shut it off. it was going crazy. no matter what we did.
now the clicker doesn't work.
and
to get in we have to use the keys and to lock it ,
we either have to use the key or the auto switch on the driver's door in the suv.

with that said. i asked them to re-set it.
since it's sunday there alarm guy isn't in.
you would think that they would be able to do it.
but yet they couldn't. not 1 guy in today thats know how.
i was amazed. or maybe they just didn't want to barther.
but since i know that many of the service adviser's knowthat i tip really well, plus i tip the valet, and the mechanic's to, even for a oil change, i just had to believe that they really didn't know how.

is there a step by step process anyone can give me, so i can reset it for my wife.
she has the alarm with the blue keys. and black casing.
sort of roundish.
not like my tundra's at all.
i do have another set of keys here if that would help you ID, the type of alarm. but she took the truck to work. so i am going to have to wait until 5:15pm today to try it.

any help , would be greatly appreciated, so it saves me a trip to the dealership this coming week.

maybe it's the type of alarm.

does anyone know how to reset any of toyota's alarms?
maybe they are somewhat all the same in re-setting.
