Default '01 RAV4 - Power Outlet?

Is there a relay for the Power Outlets, (console and rear), that can be jumpered or modified as there is for my 2000 Tundra?

If there is, where is it at?

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: '01 RAV4 - Power Outlet?

I PM'ed mustang67408 and he answered my question.

Yes there is and it is located behin...I'll just quote what he said,
Quote:
Yes there is, it is on the back side of the fuse box near the drivers side inside the vehicle.

I will send you a pdf that shows it. All you have to do is remove the relay and jump pins 5 & 3

Pin 1 (coil side) is only activated when the ignition is on. Jumping 5 & 3 will make them "HOT" all the time.

Thanks
Victor
I chose to open the relay and wedge the contacts together rather than jumper 5 & 3 and then have a relay floating around the glovebox. It works, both power outlets, console and back left side, are hot all the time.

Now for payback to the forum, if anyone else wants to do this mod I can send you the .pdf's that Victor sent me.

This is for the 2001 and I don't know if any other years are the same. PM me your e-mail and I will send them to you so you don't have to bother Victor, although I suspect he doesn't mind. Thanks Victor.
