I hate to ask,and it should be in the book.I have 05 4cyl and just had the oil changed last week before taking a trip,and my maint.light came on and I don't know how to reset it.I tryed looking it up in my book,no luck.THX

I would check the manual again. It should be in there somewhere. You must not have had the oil changed at a Toyota dealer or they would have reset the maintenance timer. Since you are traveling I would also recommend checking the oil level. Yes, the oil you just had changed. I had an oil change one time and started out on a trip. A few miles down the road I gassed up and checked the oil. It was 3 quarts low!!! Never trust a shop to do it right. Always check it yourself. Check that manual more carefully. It's in there.

I believe that you need to set it to display your odometer. Now, with the ignition in the off position, hold the trip reset button and then turn the ignition on (still holding the trip reset). Keep holding the reset button until it stops blinking characters on the display(a few seconds). That is the way that I reset it on my '06 Tundra, so hopefully it will be the same for you.
