Default VSC Disable??

Does anyone know how to disable the VSC on an 08 Rav4? You know, the situations when you get home from work late & have a 1/4 mile lane full of snow & you want to get up some speed & charge through it. The VSC will immediatly reduce your power as soon as one wheel slips. The Vensa has a switch to turn it off.

"VSC assists in maintaining vehicle tracking during hard cornering. Venza's system includes a VSC Off-switch to turn either TRAC or VSC off for situations when full engine power is needed at all drive wheels."

I've heard rumor that there is a way to disable it on a Rav4.

If you own a 2006-2010 RAV4, follow these steps and enjoy the slide. Once the car is started, you have thirty seconds to complete the process. With practice, the procedure can be completed in approximately fifteen seconds but, unfortunately, must be repeated each time the car is switched off. Yes, the 2009-2010 models do have a VSC disable switch, but it will turn itself back on when it feels necessary (like during a dyno run). This procedure will keep it disabled until the engine is switched off:

1. Make sure the car is in Park and the parking brake is disengaged before you start the car.
2. Start the engine.
3. Engage the parking brake.
4. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
5. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
6. Disengage the parking brake.
7. Fully depress and hold down the brake pedal.
8. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).
9. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it (while holding down the brake pedal).
10. Release the brake pedal.
11. Engage the parking brake.
12. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
13. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

You should see the yellow skid icon on the dash light up, indicating that the system is disabled.
