Where's it built?

I'm just curious where the 2006 Rav4 is being assembled? I'm originally from KY so I'm proud that Avalon/Camry/Solara is assembled in my home state.

Tahara, Japan, and 100% foreign parts, as I understand the window sticker on the 2006 I looked at this weekend.

My wife's 2001 RAV4 is the same, but I can offset any patriotic misgivings by knowing my 2005 Tundra is built in Princeton, Indiana, with mostly US parts.

100% built in Japan. No other country was sourced for any of the conponents either..

Right now they are all Japanese built, but in 2008, the new Canadian plant will come online.

I believe the 06 rav4 is currently being built in Japan, however in 2008 will start being built in Ontario Canada.

I have just put in an order for the sport v6 which I hope to have in a few months.

My dealer indicated that the V6 limited and sport models were being made & shipped 1st to Canada before the base v6 models.
