Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights

Got them from Trendgear on E-Bay. The Rav had the factory wiring already there. Getting a relay and factory switch from Mustang67408's dealership. With his help and a little luck these baby's will look like they were installed by the factory. You can get the lamps for less, but using the factory wiring is a bit more expensive. I'm all for factory look and feel, so this "mod" won't look like one. Big thanks again to Mustang67408! Should have them installed by late Tuesday.

Please let us know how it comes out..I have 2007 RAV4 and want to installa fog light..Is it easy to do?

It was a piece of cake. Get the lamps, the wiring should already be there. It was on my '05. Got the fog relay and bought the factory switrch from a Toyota dealership. Did not have to monkey with the switches and wiring that come with the lights. Cost me about $175 and it is all factory.

You 07 is ALOT DIFFERENT in the wiring department than the 05 we just did.
If your willing to take few pictures for me of various components and check wiring colors and pin locations,
I am sure we an figure out if it is PLUG AND PLAY FOR YOU too.
But I am going to need your help like GALEN helped me on his RAV (05)

Thanks..I just got my car few weeks ago and really want to install a fog light. I even consult with the dealer and dealer said they don't provide installation for fog light yet... and for the new RAV4... the switch is with the headlight switch...

I will take few photos as soon as i can..thanks fro your help in advance

I sold Galen his NEW HEADLIGHT SWITCH and relay. It made everyhting plug and play for him.
If you take pictures,
I need a picture of
1: Headlight switch connector and wires
2: Body ECU plugs and wires
We can go from there

I got a 07 Rav4 base model with no fog lights. I plan on installing a set, and I see that you folks might have some ideas. I planned on just adding a switch in an open dash knock out, but is there a easy way to install the factory type switch? I currently do not have the fog light switch on the signal lever. I am assuming that since i do not have that switch, i also do not have the fog light wiring that many of the RAV4's come with, even without the fog lights, and if i did have it, it would be very difficult to install it and hook up to any wiring in the steering column. Anyway if you have any ideas please let me know.

I also plan on installing some rear backup lights. I was going to install a set of 50 watt halogens, but i would have to run more wiring to the hood area, so i am planning on getting some LED's PIAA they look like they are under 10 watts each and i think i could splice them straigh into the existing backup lights and not need a relay or much wiring. Anyone have any suggestions or comments?

Your FOG LIGHTS system runs thru the BODY ECU. We need to figure out if the wires are there or not. If this sounds to time consuming then you will have to run a seperate system for your fog lights.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments?This wont work and will overload the reverse light system, you need to run a seperate system and a relay for your added reverse lights. Use the factory reverse lights as a signal to the relay and they will turn on when you go into reverse.

Did you guys end up buying the factory fog lights from a dealer?? When I checked, they quoted me $150 per light plus several other parts. I think the grand total was around $550! Were you by chance able to get the lights for cheaper than that?? Also, I'm not sure why the fog light relay is so expensive?? I was planning to use the 15A power outlet relay that I "jumpered around" so that I could have constant 12v power to both the console and rear cargo power outlets.

I bought my fog lamp at ebay , and theres no wiring diagram and I was confuse with the yellow wire , anybody who can send me the wiring instruction please I really need it .....my email is jadedolino@yahoo.com
