Happy to say I am ready to install a new set of OEM RAV4 fog lights, however, the set came with no instructions. I think I got it all figured out with the exception of one wire (yellow) that has a cooonector on the end of it and about 10" below the connector that goes to the switch. I could not visually see where the connector would attach to under the dash. It is a 4 slot connector with 1 single wire in the first position. Any one out there who has done this install before?
Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights

Hope these help, they are for a 2006 RAV
p.s. If you subscribe, you'd have access to all this and more
If your using the factory wiring it should work. As long as the body ECU sees the proper signal it will send the signal to the combination meter to illuminate the fog light indicator. Your probably going to need the factory headlight/foglight switch. It sends a signal to the body ecu, which in turns send a signal to the combination meter.

Re: Need help with set of RAV4 2004 OEM fog lights
I installed the fog lights, bought the relay from Toyota and short circuit the switch on the dashboard (left side) but didn't work; I need help with the connections on the signal lever knob, because according my manual I have to twist it to activate my fog lights.
Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights
I bought the e-bay OEM fogs for my '05 Rav4. (Trendgear) It has the lamps, wiring and a switch. I keep reading about mounting brackets. I haven't torn into the install yet because I want to make sure I have everything needed. Can someone help out here?
Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights
I got the lights mounted and am attempting to use the factory installed wiring. Got the lights connected. I read about a missing relay. Can someone elaborate on what part is needed? I have a switch that will work in the knockouts, can someone help with the proper wiring? Thanks.
Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights
The fog light relay goes into the back of the fuse box that is inside the vehicle on the drivers side.
You may also have to add the FOG Fuse that goes in the front side of the drivers fuse box, inside the vehicle.

Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights
Thanks! Fog fuse is already there. I'll get the relay today. Since I don't have the stock switch (on the steering column), where would you connect the switch?
Re: Need wiring help with set of RAV4 OEM fog lights
WOW! went to price the relay (90987-02027) at autozone, and it was over $73! I think I'll use the wiring and relay that came with the fogs. Should be able to wire it into the low beam power or something. I thought it would be cheaper to go with the factory wiring, but was I surprised! Unless there are suggestions on where to find the relay ALOT cheaper, I'm heading down another road. Open to suggestions.
