my wife and just bought s 2006 rav4 v6 limited. i love it, but my wife noticed that after driving it a bit that the driver's seat has very little leg room and the seats are quite firm, almost to the point of being a bit uncomfortable. anyone else notice this?

My wife bought the Sport model. I am 6ft2in and love the driver and passenger seats in hers. A while back she owned an S70 Volvo and I would put the Sport Rav seats up against the Volvo seats as far as comfort any day.
Hi: I just bought the new 2006 Limited and find the driver's seat to be one of the most comfortable I've ever owned...but I did have to play with the eight-way power seat and lumbar support control before I got it just right for my tush.
May I suggest that you reposition the seat to it's most forward and highest positions and work from there.
Good luck.

I purchased a RAV4 about 2 months ago and find the driver's seat extremely uncomfortable. The design makes me feel like I am sitting on a prorch rail with my tail hanging off. Anyone else have this problem? Tx

I have a base V6, seats are comfy on all day trips, even more so now with Wet Okole seat covers installed. Even my huntin/fishin partner with a bad back likes em!! No complaints at all.

I noticed as a passenger (it's the wife's) that the seats seem really short front to back. I have to really lay the seat back to get comfortable. Also, it's too cramped in the passenger area. Another inch of rearward travel would help a bunch. We bought it for road trips so we''ll so how it does in a few weeks when we head to Sedona for vacation. On the plus side we can put our mountain bikes in the back with plenty of room left over.

I feel the same way. A lot of folks who claim its comfortable are rather large it would seem. I'm only 5'6 and I think they are a bit too firm. Also, the front of the seat doesn't raise up enough. I have the front all the way up and the rear all the way down, but I still have to pull the steering wheel all the way toward me to be able to reach it. I'm hoping that the cushion breaks in over time and makes it more comfortable.
My wife wants to get a Rav with the third row, thinking we could stick our teenagers back there for a quick trip to dinner. Is it really small? From what I can see of local inventory, they are pretty rare.
Who's got the third row and are you using it?
If it turns out too small we may end up getting a highlander and I will be crushed
We I have a RAV4 V6 engine. My car does not have the 3rd row but I tell you, that the third row is a waste of space. I used to work for a rental car company. I sat in many cars with the 3rd row and it was very uncompfortable. No space and it was to cramped for any adults. I do not recomend it for you to buy it.
I love my RAV4 and I am glad that I bought it. I had a corrola for 3.5 years and now my husband bought me a RAV4.
