Default Pulling the trigger (done deal)

Well, we got the deal worked out and we'll be picking up the new '06 Rav tomorrow evening...assuming the dealership doesn't try to pull anything funny. We are replacing the POS 2005 Chevy Cavalier (which replaced the 5 day old, 192 total miles 2005 Cavalier *see my photo gallery*. The totalled Cavalier replaced my 2003 Tundra AC) with a 2006 Metallic Beige Rav 4 with 4cylinder base with about every option you can add to that particular model. The really funny part is that no dealer in Tulsa had what we were looking for, so they are doing a dealer trade from Little Rock, AR (where we moved from a little over 5 months ago.).

Looking forward to being back in a Toyota (and it's about the same color as my wife's 05 Camry).

We realized this last weekend that the car seat for our first child won't fit in the back seat of the Cavalier, so that sped up the process of replacing it...OH DARN!

The baby will be here in about a month, so wife said get it done. Well, hopefully it's done.

James

Default Re: Pulling the trigger

It's done. Brought the new Rav home last night. Easiest buying experience I've ever had. Everything was handled via email and phone. Walked in, went on about a 25 test drive, back to dealership. Everything was exactly how we discussed on the phone. Went to financing and got no sales pitch for warranties or gap. Interest rate was what we expected, payment was a little better than we expected.

All told, there were 6 emails, 7 phone calls (inlcuding the "we're on our way" call), and 1 hour 25 minutes at the dealer (including the test drive). No bad when you consider that they sold the first vehicle I inquired about, they located another one at port but it was damaged, and then they drove almost 500 miles round trip to get this one.

Couldn't be happier about the power available with the 4cyl. (don't want to think about what I could do if I bought one with a 6 cyl). The amount of space in the 2nd row of seats and the back of the vehicle is almost unbelievable.

I didn't realize that they had deleted all old photo galleries, so my bad on the reference above to the Cavalier wreck. However, there are some new ones of the Rav in my photo gallery now.

Looking forward to a long, happy drive.

James
