programming a keyless remote for2004 rav4

Hi all,
Just picked up my Rav4, a 2004 s series in 2 tone gray. She is a beauty. I saved her from a salvage yard and got her fixed good a new. My only problem is I need to program the remote. Does anyone know how to do that? I would appreciate any help.

Hi 1Trucker, Hope yr as pleased with yr '04 as we have been ! Similar problem, spare remote signaler & key lost when bag stolen on a trip. Found proper remote in junkyard FCC ID HYQ12BBX but have not been able to get the correct program to access the device in the driver's door to accept the remote.

If you managed to find it for yr's. since June, would you please share it ?

Try this:
1. get in the car
2. shut the door
3. place the key in the ignition
4. lock the doors, manually
5. turn the ignition to on then off...do this seven times
6. unlock the doors and try your remote
