01 RAV4 Gas Mileage - Toyota Tundra Forums : Tundra Solutions Forum

Hello! Just wondering if I can get some input on what kind of gas mileage you are getting w/ your 01 RAV? I have 01, 5 speed manual transmission and I'm getting around 27. Not sure if you would call it in town, because I drive 35 miles to work, but a lot of hills. (I live near the Allegheny National Forest).

FWIW my wife and I see a pretty consistant 25-26 mixed city/hwy with out '05 2wd automatic.

sounds about right, the 2.0 litre engine with variable valve timing will give you a little bit better.

2006 RAV4 4 cyl 4wd autotrans Sport-
It doesn't seem to matter how I drive I get around 24.5 mpg. On a trip to Florida it did no better. Of course I had the car with extra weight (2 adults and luggage) and we were in AC weather and high speeds on I-95.
After the trip I drove alone with no baggage, hardly any air and could not do better than 24.5.
